Frequently Asked Questions

The WrinkleMD System is effective for women and men of all skin types, ages 30+, with visible signs of facial skin-aging.

Yes. You may feel a slight tingle that moves from one patch to the other.

For optimal results, use the WrinkleMD System twice a week during the first week, then maintain your results with weekly treatments (once a week).

Each treatment lasts just 30 minutes and can be completed at home, on your own time.

The deep hydration in one 30 minute treatment leaves skin visibly smoother looking, refreshed, reenergized, and rejuvenated. Visible reduction in the appearance of mild to moderate wrinkles averaged 2 weeks in clinical tests. Speed of results varies depending on severity of wrinkles, and individual skin factors. Allow 4 weeks to see the accumulative results and benefits of consistent use.

No. Do not apply patch treatments more than once every three days. Use only as directed.

No. Patches are only for single use.

It's crucial to make sure your skin is thoroughly clean and dry before applying patches, or the infusion treatment will not work properly. We strongly recommend cleansing and drying your entire face to ensure optimum results. Recommended: Alcohol-free WrinkleMD Infusion Skin Prep (link) effectively and gently cleanses, plus improves connectivity for micro-charged infusion.

To help prevent accidental damage to the Activator Pod, avoid too much activity during treatments. For best results, facial muscles should be in a relaxed state.

No. The ingredients are already infused into each patch. Never apply any other products on to the patches.

The patches may be disposed of as household waste. Tip: Once your treatment is finished, remove the patches from your face, turn them gel-side up and stick them together. Then remove the Activator Pod Connector Buds.

If needed, slide down the small connector on the cords until it's about an inch above the Activator Pod. Adjust the fit by gently separating the cords from each other. Be very careful not to pull too hard; they should separate easily.

Yes, tucking the Activator Pod cords behind your ears helps keep them out of the way, and will help prevent excess pulling of the skin where patches are applied.

Yes. The protective seal should be reapplied to one of the Activator Pod buds after each treatment. This keeps the buds from activating before treatment is initiated. Tip: At the beginning of your treatment, remove the protective seal from one of the Activator Pod buds and stick it onto the Activator Pod pouch. After your treatment is complete, reapply the sticker onto one of the Activator Pod buds before returning the pod to its pouch.

You can easily reset your Activator Pod. Unsnap the Connector Buds from the patches (you can leave on the patches you’ve already applied) then touch and hold the metal snaps of the two buds together, until a green light appears on the Activator Pod. Then re-snap the buds onto the patch(es) and start your 30 minute treatment. If you were mid-treatment when you realized the Activator Pod was not working, it’s ok to wear the patches a full 30 minutes to make sure all of the ingredients are delivered (when the Activator Pod is not on, ingredients are not being delivered).

You may also remove the patches to try again at a later time. Re-apply each patch to it’s original liner, and keep in a reseal-able, zip-lock® style plastic bag until ready to use. Patches may be stored this way for a few days without any loss in effectiveness.

If resetting your Activator Pod does not solve the problem, Please contact Customer Service at 1.855.299.8800, Monday—Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. (PST).

No. The battery cannot be replaced. Opening the Activator Pod will void the warranty.

If your skin is overly sensitive to alcohol, use a cleanser instead of the Skin Prep Wipes and rinse the application area twice to ensure all residue is removed. Patches will only adhere to the skin if the treatment area is thoroughly cleansed, dry and free of oil.

The WrinkleMD Eye System uses a gentle micro-current to deliver Hyaluronic Acid — the wrinkle-filler injected by dermatologist — by infusing it into the top layers of your skin, unlike traditional creams or serums that only sit on top of the surface of the skin. To learn more, visit MDInnovation.
